Half sex toy gag, half feminist debate

Overeducated, underemployed, unlucky in love and priced out of the rental market, urbanite Leah Bowman is just having the worst year. So when her great aunt dies and leaves her property in the sleepy small town of Pleasureville, doesn’t that seem like the right change at the right time? With the blessing of her non-binary best friend Ash and help from local original Rose, Leah decides to open Pleasureville’s first sex shop and bring feminist empowerment to the small community - only to discover how much she doesn’t know about business, allyship, and her own self

Brimming with compassion and exuberancePleasureville is a story of our time with broad, cross-generational appeal. It challenges our unseen biases and reflects on who is left out of conversations about feminism and sex positivity – all in an accessible, outrageously funny package

This world premiere packs a lot of heart as its characters learn to claim their power and their pleasure.
