Summer Camps - Week 1

July 2 - 5 (Four day camp, no camp Monday) 9am - 4pm

Camp for ages 4-12 will take place at the Shambhala School at 5450 Russell Street, Halifax.

Camp for Teens 13-18 will take place at Neptune Theatre at 1593 Argyle Street, Halifax through the Scotiabank Stage Entrance.

Need to drop off earlier or pick up later? No problem! We have pre and post camp available, allowing students to be dropped off an hour earlier, and picked up an hour later. Pre and post camp care are $25 each for the week. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to   

4-6yrs (Drama) (Paw Patrol) Search and Rescue


Are you wagging your tail to save the day? Don’t ignore the call! Create your own heroic stories you could experience in your very own community. Come up with pup characters and use your imagination to help save your neighbourhood.

4-6yrs (Musical) Under the Sea


There are so many creatures to explore under the sea: whales, crustaceans, mermaids, jellyfish! Singing songs of the sea and exploring different movement and dance activities, we will create a world of unique under-water creatures on our own deep sea adventure.

7-9yrs (Drama) Dumbledore’s Army of Actors


Join us on a fantastical adventure! It’s time to take your knowledge of the Harry Potter universe and put it to the test. Will you join Dumbledore’s Army, or will you succumb to dark powers of He Who Must Not Be Named? Wands at the ready, swish and flick!

7-9yrs (Musical) Passport to Musical Fun


Go on a musical journey around the world! Travel to different cities through the magic of song and dance. Dive into various music genres! Create your own map along the way and stamp your passports as you make it to the performance at the end of the week.

10-12yrs (Drama) Time Travelers


Go back in time and learn tips and tricks from different decades of theatre! Whether it’s mime, slapstick humour, or experimental you’ll get to explore new techniques and ways to move your body. Jump back into your time machine and return to the present to showcase your play for your friends and family!

10-12yrs (Musical) One Hit Wonders


You know that one catchy song? Funkytown? Or Mambo Number 5? Who was it by again?... This one hit wonder inspired musical theatre camp is for those who love to sing and dance! Using the most memorable songs we’ll explore your vocal skills, learn choreography and create your own pop concert.

13-18yrs (Drama) Teen Theatre Sampler


This is the perfect theatre intensive for that person who loves to try new things. With an emphasis on different types of physical theatre (Mime, Mask, Clown, and Stage Combat) this 4-day sampler will allow you to "try a taste" of some new theatre skills each day. Challenge yourself, explore new physicalities and build your skills resumé.

13-18yrs (Musical) Musical Theatre Rep


This masterclass style workshop is aimed at students who are already confident singing solo but want some guidance on how to prepare their books for auditions. Recommended for students who will be auditioning for our YPCo or Prep Programs or anyone hoping to get a lead in next year’s high school musical. We will explore to prepare your sheet music and some basic skills on presenting your piece to the best of your ability. Students must come in with one or two songs they know and sheet music for each piece.


Please note : Camps will go off sale at 5pm the day before camps start. Please complete your booking prior to that time.

  • Students 14 years and older must add 15% HST.
  • Students should bring their own snacks and lunches. Neptune Theatre School is NUT & SHELLFISH FREE.
  • Students who have a birthday within two months of a class's start date may sign up for that class (i.e. if your child is 6, but will turn 7 within two months of a 7-9 class starting, they may be signed up for the older class.)
  • Neptune Theatre is the sole owner of the information collected here and on our website. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others.
  • Neptune Theatre Foundation cannot be held responsible for accidents or injuries incurred in classes, or on its premises. Students/parents are financially responsible for any physical damage they/their children do to the building.
  • All classes and camps are subject to a $35 non refundable fee per enrollment.
  • Some camps have a minimum registration and if that number is not met the class will not be offered. You will be notified of any canceled classes.
