Summer Camps - Week 4

July 22 - 26 (five day camp) 9am - 4pm

Camp for ages 4-12 will take place at the Shambhala School at 5450 Russell Street, Halifax.

Camp for Teens 13-18 will take place at Neptune Theatre at 1593 Argyle Street, Halifax through the Scotiabank Stage Entrance.

Need to drop off earlier or pick up later? No problem! We have pre and post camp available, allowing students to be dropped off an hour earlier, and picked up an hour later. Pre and post camp care are $25 each for the week. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to   

4-6yrs (Drama) Choose your own Adventure


Should you take the dark and mysterious woods, or the bright and sunny meadow? Should you accept help from a friend or go on a wild rampage? It’s up to you! Choose your own adventure and create the story you want to tell with choices and decisions put in front of you.

4-6yrs (Musical) Spin a Web of Songs


My Spidey-Senses are tingling! Love to sing and dance in tights? Swing from building to building belting out your favourite spiderman songs. Join us in creating our own evil villains and science experiments. Play games, do crafts, and learn a friendly neighbourhood performance number to keep this city safe from the Green Goblin.

7-9yrs (Drama) Camp Half Blood


Have you ever wondered who could be your Greek God ancestor? Zeus! Poseidon! Artemis! In this camp you will get sorted into your house and participate in awesome greek mythology activities. Play games like the Olympians would and make crafts fit for a god. Use your dramatic skills to bring these characters to life and explore creatures of great myths!

7-9yrs (Musical) Broadway Here I Come


You’ve made it NYC for your big debut! Using songs from a variety of hit Broadway shows students will act, sing and dance their way through this musical theatre camp. This top notch training will allow students to create and present their own musical cabaret of Broadway’s latest hits.

10-12yrs (Drama) Mystery Theatre


Are you an everyday Nancy Drew? Ready to solve the Da Vinci Code? Receive secret messages and collect clues to get all the pieces together for a thrilling twist ending! Create your own mysterious characters and play acting games to get in the zone. Who knows what’s real and what’s a red herring?

10-12yrs (Musical) Motion Picture Musicals


Do you love to copy dances you see on from your favourite movie musicals? Sing along when it comes on screen? Then come join us in this amazing musical theatre camp. Using numbers from award winning films we’ll create our own feature performance.

13-18yrs (Drama) Scene Study - Contemporary Scenes


This camp for anyone who loves to act and wants to “dig deep” into scene work.  Students will learn how to breakdown text, find the character’s journey, create basic blocking, rehearsal techniques and other performance skills. This fast paced intensive will get you out of your shell and bring your scene work to the next level. This camp will culminate in an in class presentation on the last day of camp. No experience required.

13-18yrs (Improv) Intensive - Character & Collaboration


Led by the city’s best improv instructors, this intensive is aimed at students who want to use improv to learn how to create dynamic characters and build character relationships. Using voice, physicality, status and awareness in conjunction with improv theatre games will allow you create a roster of characters you never knew existed before. All levels welcome.

Please note : Camps will go off sale at 5pm the day before camps start. Please complete your booking prior to that time.

  • Students 14 years and older must add 15% HST.
  • Students should bring their own snacks and lunches. Neptune Theatre School is NUT & SHELLFISH FREE.
  • Students who have a birthday within two months of a class's start date may sign up for that class (i.e. if your child is 6, but will turn 7 within two months of a 7-9 class starting, they may be signed up for the older class.)
  • Neptune Theatre is the sole owner of the information collected here and on our website. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others.
  • Neptune Theatre Foundation cannot be held responsible for accidents or injuries incurred in classes, or on its premises. Students/parents are financially responsible for any physical damage they/their children do to the building.
  • All classes and camps are subject to a $35 non refundable fee per enrollment.
  • Some camps have a minimum registration and if that number is not met the class will not be offered. You will be notified of any canceled classes.
