Summer Camps  - Week 2

July 13 - 17 (five day camp)

Camp for ages 4-12 will take place at the Shambhala School at 5450 Russell Street, Halifax.

Intensives for teens 13-18 will take place at Neptune Theatre at 1593 Argyle Street, Halifax through the Scotiabank Stage Entrance.

Please note: one week before classes begin, you will receive an email reminder containing all the information you need to know for the first day of camp.

Drop-off and Pick-up schedule:

10-12 years 8:30am - 8:45am 3:45pm - 4:00pm
7-9 years 8:45am - 9:00am 3:30pm - 3:45pm
4-6 years 9:00am - 9:15am 12:15pm - 12:30pm


Please note: if you are dropping off or picking up students in multiple age groups, you should do drop-off at the latest time scheduled and pick-up at the earliest time scheduled. For example; if you have a child in a 7-9yr camp and a child in a 10-12yr camp, your drop-off time is between 8:45am-9:00am, and your pick-up time is between 3:30pm-3:45pm.

Presentation videos will be sent by email the Friday after your camp week ends.

For any teen camp auditions, please prepare the following:

1) a short monologue (1-2 minutes) ideally from a play.

2) a thirty second blurb telling us who you are and what you love about performing and what you hope to get out of the program. Is there a program or aspect of a program that interests you most.

*please be sure to label the clip with your name and the program you are auditioning for.

4-6yrs Traverse the Galaxy


(half day camps)

Houston, we have an awesome camp coming up! Grab your space gear and suit up for a week that’s out of this world! Work together to write a story that brings out the magic of the stars as you traverse the galaxy on an intergalactic adventure. Play games and make rocket themed crafts! Up, up and away!

Encouraging creative exploration, all 4-6yrs camps contain elements of drama, improv, movement, storytelling, and music

4-6 Prehistoric Music Makers


(half day camps)

Me camper. You dinosaur. Cave home. Me make music. Use your rhythmic enthusiasm to create a musical show all about prehistoric times! Dance along to songs about dinosaurs and cave-people. Make art that brings out your love for fossils and dino bones! You’ll have a RAWR of a time!

7-9yrs (Drama) Mission Impossible


[ Insert dramatic theme music] * whispered* You’ve just been enlisted to join our special division as a secret agent for Neptune Theatre. Earn your badge as you investigate crimes. Use your detective skills to solve puzzles and decode secret messages. Don’t let our precious intel get into the wrong hands. Who knows what your next mission will be!

7-9yrs (Musical) Broadway, Here I Come


You’ve made it NYC for your big debut! Using songs from a variety of hit Broadway shows students will act and dance their way through this musical theatre camp. This top notch training will allow students to create and present their own musical showcase of Broadway’s latest hits.

10-12yrs (Drama) Sketch Comedy


Do you have a list of zany characters in your back pocket? Have all sorts of ideas for stories and plays? Work with others to create a short sketch show of your own, and leave ‘em in stitches!

10-12yrs (Musical) Greeks and Geeks


Have you ever wondered who could be your Greek God ancestor? Zeus! Poseidon! Artemis! In this camp you will take your place amongst the gods, and participate in awesome greek mythology activities. Play games like the Olympians would and make crafts fit for a god. Use your dramatic skills to bring these characters to life and explore creatures of great myths!

13-18yrs (Level 1) Spontaneous Creator 101


(10am - 4pm)

Getting into your body and leaning in to your impulses will make your journey as an actor so much more fulfilling….and fun! Improv, clown, movement, mime are just some of the ways we can surprise ourselves and our audience. Sketch and comedy writing can open up the door to create humour while also commenting on the world around us. Show the world what you’ve got!

All levels welcome.

13-18yrs (Level 2) Empowered Performer & Sustainability 201


(10am - 4pm)

You have the skills - now what? We will explore scripts and monologues, song lyrics and sonnets. Bring truth to your interpretation. Find your voice and speak clearly and authentically. Put your own spin on a classic. Explore new scripts you didn’t know existed. And maybe write your own amazing piece!.  A mix of fun and technical training, this week will  strengthen your skills and help you build your repertoire to have in your toolbox as you continue on in your training.
