Summer Camps - Week 5

August 4 - 7 (four day camp, no camp Monday)

Camp for ages 4-12 will take place at the Shambhala School at 5450 Russell Street, Halifax.

Intensives for Teens 13-18 will take place at Neptune Theatre at 1593 Argyle Street, Halifax through the Scotiabank Stage Entrance.

Please note: one week before classes begin, you will receive an email reminder containing all the information you need to know for the first day of camp.

Drop-off and Pick-up schedule:

10-12 years 8:30am - 8:45am 3:45pm - 4:00pm
7-9 years 8:45am - 9:00am 3:30pm - 3:45pm
4-6 years 9:00am - 9:15am 12:15pm - 12:30pm


Please note: if you are dropping off or picking up students in multiple age groups, you should do drop-off at the latest time scheduled and pick-up at the earliest time scheduled. For example; if you have a child in a 7-9yr camp and a child in a 10-12yr camp, your drop-off time is between 8:45am-9:00am, and your pick-up time is between 3:30pm-3:45pm.

4-6yrs The Enchanted Tales


(half day camps)

Up on the tallest mountain in the highest peak resided the great Castle Neptune. Where royalty from near and far gathered to celebrate fun theatre games and amazing activities. Scroll your very own theatre play and come up with your own dignified characters. Craft your own magnificent crown as you strut your stuff down the hallways of camp. Who knows, you might get a visit from a member of the royal family?

Encouraging creative exploration, all 4-6yrs camps contain elements of drama, improv, movement, storytelling, and music

4-6yrs Ticket to Ride


(half day camps)

Choo Choo! All aboard the Neptune train! Have a blast pretending to travel to different worlds you create. Build your make-believe transport vehicles. Dance your way to your own adventures of action and mystery! Design your own tickets for full access to this amazing ride!

7-9yrs (Drama) Twisted Nature


Be a force of nature! Our environment is important, we will be creating theatre pieces of the effects of our actions on the planet. Animals, plants and the ocean are significant to the growth of the earth. Play acting games, learn stories, make crafts and put together a final theatre piece surrounding nature.

7-9yrs (Musical) Around the World in 4 Days


Go on a musical journey around the world! Travel to different cities through the magic of music and dance. Explore different languages and styles of dance. Dive into various music genres! Create your own map along the way and stamp your passports as you make it to the performance at the end of the week.

10-12yrs (Drama) Superb Short Stories


Create your own collection of short stories and turn them into collective theatre pieces. Work together and present your scenes in your own theatrical way. Make your own sets and props with recycled material and find a creative way to piece them all together. Play theatre games to build on your acting skills and practice writing to become stronger storytellers.  Workshop your ideas and make incredible theatre happen!

10-12yrs (Musical) Thrilling and Chilling Musical Adventure


Little Shop of Horrors! Addams Family! Beetlejuice! There are plenty of thriller musicals to explore. Use your love for the weird and unusual while you dance and play theatre games throughout this creepy week of theatre camp.
