Teens Age 13-18


Classes will run Saturdays in the fall, winter, and spring. For ages 13-18, we offer classes in Drama, Improv, and Musical Theatre. Sign in is at the Scotiabank Stage entrance of Neptune Theatre on Argyle Street. Our goal with our Seasonal Classes is to build up students through three focuses.

Fall - Stagecraft

October 12th - November 30th

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

In this class, our instructors will guide students through the process of peeling back the many layers of a character to access the core of who they are.

Winter - Scene Study

January 18th - March 7th

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

From breaking down a text to exploring character relationships, this class will allow teens the opportunity to dive into scenes.

Spring - Collective Creation

March 28th - May 9th

(no class on April 11th)

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Bring your own unique voice to the table! Focusing on movement, voice, and acting exercises, students will create their own unique piece of devised theatre.

Fall - Improv

October 12th - November 30th

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

With games and activities from shows like Whose Line and Saturday Night Live, our instructors will help you explore your silly side, and work with you to develop your impulses and comedic skills.

Winter - Games & Scenes

January 18th - March 7th

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Dive into traditional and new improv games, and learn how to skillfully build a scene through improvisation. Work in small and large groups and gain skills to successfully execute improv scenes.

Spring - Character & Scene Development

March 28th - May 9th

(no class on April 11th)

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Explore the idea of long-form, and work together to create fully realized stories with arcing characters through improvisation,

Fall - The Golden Age

October 12th - November 30th

1:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Students will work on material from the likes of Rodgers, Hammerstein, and Cole Porter. Find the spark that made these oldies hits for the ages.

Winter - Contemporary Ensemble

January 18th - March 7th

1:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Students will get the opportunity to work as an ensemble on some of the most recent musical theatre repertoire.

Spring - My Songs & Stories

March 28th - May 9th

(no class on April 11th)

1:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Students will look at songs and break down both the melodic and lyrical story. There are clues in every musical piece, and working together we can create a very special performance.


Please note: Classes will go off sale at 5 p.m. the day before classes start. Please complete your booking prior to that time.

- HST applies to students 14 years and older.

- Students should bring their own snacks. Neptune Theatre School is NUT & SHELLFISH FREE.

- Students who have a birthday within two months of a class's start date may sign up for that class (i.e. if your child is six, but will turn seven within two months of a 7-9 class starting, they may be signed up for the older class).

- Neptune Theatre is the sole owner of the information collected here and on our website. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others.

- Neptune Theatre Foundation cannot be held responsible for accidents or injuries incurred in classes, or on its premises. Students/parents are financially responsible for any physical damage they/their children do the building.

- All classes and camps are subject to a $35 non-refundable fee per enrollment. There are no refunds once classes or camps have begun.

- Some classes have a minimum registration. If that number is not met, the class will not be offered. If a class is cancelled, all participants will be notified and offered alternative arrangements.
