4-6yrs (Drama) Storybook Theatre

Saturdays  beginning March 30th, from 8:45am - 9:45am

Grab your favourite book and make it come to life. Exploring the elements of character, environment, location, actions and adventure, students will work together to find ways to create a clean, creative story. How can we use our voice in different ways? How can we create different worlds together? This will be an incredible time of collaboration, and for us to use our imagination.

4-6yrs (Musical) You've Got a Friend In Me

Saturdays  beginning March 30th, from 9:45am - 10:45am

Songs are more than just notes of music and fun words. Each song has a beginning, middle, and end, and a story to tell. How do different characters connect to lyrics? How do different characters move to music? Taking some of our favourite songs we will work together to tell our stories through singing, acting, and some basic dancing.

7-9yrs (Drama) Theatre of the Imagination

Saturdays  beginning March 30th, from 11:15am - 12:30pm

It is time to set the stage: Where are we? Who are we? What will we encounter on our journey? Using drama games and exercises, students will work together to bring a story to life. This will be a truly unique experience since everyone will play a very special role. We will focus on working together, building on ideas and clear, concise choices. Prepare to be wowed!

7-9yrs (Musical) Tiny Triple Threat: Create

Saturdays  beginning March 30th, from 9:45am - 11:15am

You may have a favourite musical, but what if we take our favourite songs and stories and make our own? Working together we will explore the different interpretations of movement and dance. How do different characters sing the same song? How do tempos, genres and different styles affect the way we interpret a show stopping number. With singing, acting, and dancing, students will get a chance to put their own stamp on musical numbers.

9-12yrs (Theory) Music and Me

Saturdays  beginning April 6th, from 9:15am - 10am

Music is so complex yet so simple. Using basic music theory and games we will explore scales, rhythms, basic choral singing, and harmonies. The perfect class for anyone interested in music, this class is a playful introduction to music theory and structure.

10-12yrs (Drama) Create!

Saturdays  beginning March 30th, from 12:30pm - 2pm

It is time for you to become the actors, writers, and designers of a new piece of theatre. Taking text from our favourite books and poems we will create something brand new. Dynamic characters! Wild locations! Scenes, tableaus, narrations, and monologues. Anything is possible in this world of Collective Creation.

10-12yrs (Improv) Character & Scene Development

Saturdays  beginning March 30th, from 2pm - 3:30pm

We are going to continue to work on our improv,. What characters do you want to work on? How can you build off the characters and offers of others? What if your scene took a different direction than you originally thought? This will be a fun and challenging class for those who love to entertain.

10-12yrs (Musical) Musical Theatre Hits & Skits

Saturdays  beginning March 30th, from 11:15am - 1:15pm

Musical Theatre is not just about the singing and dancing. What motivates the songs to happen. Students will work on tiny scenes before and during songs, and take the motivation of their performance to the next level. What is the moment before? What journey have the characters gone on through the song? What story does the dance tell? This is the first step on your way to Broadway!
