UPDATED DECEMBER 17, 2021

Dear Neptune Patron,

With the restrictions implemented by Public Health earlier this week and hearing Dr. Strang’s message urging Nova Scotians to limit their activities, Neptune Theatre has decided to close its holiday shows. The last performances for Alice in Pantoland and Dickens’ A Christmas Carol will take place tonight (Friday, December 17).

This is disheartening news to deliver to you at a time of year that’s about being with family and friends. Despite the disappointment we believe it is important to keep our employees, artists, patrons and community safe.

We are saddened and sorry that we cannot welcome you to Neptune for the holiday season to enjoy these shows.

In exchange for your tickets we are happy to offer you the following options:

1)      Convert your tickets to a gift certificate to use for any future Neptune Theatre production. Gift certificates do not expire.

2)      Donate the value of your tickets back to Neptune for charitable tax receipt

3)      For those who want a dose of holiday magic, Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, is streaming on Neptune at Home.  This is a beautifully filmed production of the stage version with Rhys Bevan-John.  With this option, we will retain $15 of your purchase. The balance of your purchase can be converted to either of the options listed above.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and happy holiday.

Dickens' A Christmas Carol

November 23 - December 26, 2021

Adapted for the stage and directed by Jeremy Webb

Genre: comedy for the whole family

A heartwarming, spooky tale for the whole family

Dickens’ A Christmas Carol chronicles that pivotal night when Ebenezer Scrooge is forced to face the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present & Future and confront his mean-spirited ways.

Dickens’ cast of characters – Bob Cratchit, Marley, and of course Tiny Tim – make this a holiday classic for the whole family, with a delicious comedic twist.

A Christmas Carol is a story about redemption, charity and the spirit of Christmas.

Rhys Bevan-John returns to the role for the fifth year in a row. This production, originally created and performed by Jeremy Webb, has now been seen in Canada and the USA by over 622,000* people since 2003!
