NEPTUNE THEATRE OPEN AUDITIONS

2026 / 2027 Open Auditions are here!

Audition Notice:

Neptune Theatre will be holding an Open General Audition Day on Friday, May 8, 2026

We are looking for new faces, voices and styles! Bring your best monologue, stand-up bit, 32 bars of music, or other special skills and show us what you’ve got.

If you haven’t been seen by Artistic Director Jeremy Webb in the last 2 years, please come by!

Non-musical auditions - 9:30am - 1pm

Musical and non-musical auditions - 2pm - 5:30pm (an accompanist will be available, but it isn’t required that you use them)

Signing up for an audition - in person only:

Sign-ups will begin in person at the Scotiabank Stage Lobby (1589 Argyle St) at 9:15am and stop at 4:00pm, or when slots fill up. Equity members will be seen first at all open auditions, which means they may jump the line.

All artists may need to sit and wait to be seen, so please come prepared for that. Once you’ve signed up for a spot, you can leave and come back 15 minutes before that slot. If slots fill early, we will post on social media - please follow Neptune Theatre on Facebook or @neptunetheatre on Instagram.

About Open General Auditions:

Neptune will always continue to have show-specific auditions; however, in order to facilitate the engagement of new voices and talent, and with particular consideration for advancing opportunities for historically underrepresented and marginalized identities, professional theatres in Canada are required to hold general auditions yearly, and an open call day once every other year. An open call means we can see as many new artists as possible, independent of specific show needs.

Ethno-Cultural statement:

Neptune Theatre seeks to promote equity, inclusion and access by amplifying voices that have been historically marginalized or underrepresented, and we factor this into every decision we make. We encourage submissions from artists of all genders, ethnicities, abilities and identities, and will give scheduling priority consideration to those who self-identify as IBPOC, LGBTQ2S+, d/Deaf, living with disabilities, and/or facing other systemic challenges in our industry.

Applying artists should be aware that Neptune does not tolerate any form of harassment of their employees, clients, volunteers, or any persons visiting or spending time on the premises.

Neptune Theatre’s audition, rehearsal, and performance spaces are all physically accessible via ramps and elevators.
