2026-2027 Theatre School Season Launch

Check out what's in store next season for YPCo, TOURCo, and YPCrew!

YPCo Presents: Our Town

November 11 - 16, 2026

Described by Edward Albee as “the greatest American play ever written,” Our Town presents the small town of Grover’s Corners in three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage” and “Death and Eternity.” Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, the play depicts the simple daily lives of the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry, and eventually – in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre – die.

YPCo Presents: Urinetown the Musical

February 25 - March 8, 2027

A sidesplitting sendup of greed, love, revolution (and musicals!), in a time when water is worth its weight in gold.

Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, environmental collapse, privatization of natural resources, bureaucracy, municipal politics, and musical theatre itself! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms.

In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!

Music and Lyrics: Mark Hollmann

Book and Lyrics: Greg Kotis

YPCrew meets Urinetown

Urinetown will expand the YPCo program as we welcome students backstage into non-performing roles such as props builders, painters, technicians, and more, and we're calling it YPCrew! Stay tuned for application details.

TOURCo Presents: The Space Between

Touring March 16 - May 26, 2027

Told entirely through movement storytelling, The Space Between tells the beautiful and moving story of a young boy who is dropped off for a weekend visit with his grandfather. His grandfather, a military veteran, is as displeased to have the boy there as the boy is to be there. They are unsure of each other, a bit afraid of each other, and don’t know how  to get along. In this intergenerational story, two opposites learn to find common ground—they learn to be family.
